Marcia’s family, originally from Boston, moved to Summerville, SC when she was in elementary school. After graduating from Summerville High School, Marcia studied Microbiology and Biochemistry at Clemson University. After earning her Bachelor of Science degree, she returned to Charleston to work in the Pharmaceutical Industry. For 25 years, Marcia enjoyed a rewarding sales career working closely with physicians, pharmacists and nurses in hospitals, military facilities and private practice offices across SC. Marcia was consistently recognized on a national level for exceeding sales goals.
Marcia is now pursuing a second career and life-long interest in real estate. In 2012 she was excited for the opportunity to join the sales team at Daniel Ravenel Sotheby’s International Realty- a family run local legacy that has an exclusive affiliation with Sotheby's International Realty for unsurpassed quality marketing locally, nationally and internationally. She considers it a privilege to help her clients find the ideal primary residence, vacation home, or income generating rental property while having fun along the journey. Marcia also enjoys promoting a home to find the perfect buyers for her clients.
Marcia spent a year living on Kiawah Island before moving downtown. She found her perfect home in Ansonborough in 1989 and has been an active member of the Historic Ansonborough Neighborhood Association (HANA) since then. She previously served as HANA’s Vice President and several terms as a board member.
In her spare time, Marcia enjoys all the amenities that Charleston has to offer including wonderful restaurants, shopping on King Street, and spending time with family and friends, especially on the water. She is an avid reader and enjoys cooking, gardening, photography and staying active.
